Jakarta: Odd-even Traffic Policy Back in Business on 25 Roads

Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) Head Syafrin Liputo announced on Wednesday (6/1) that the odd-even traffic control policy on 25 roads in Jakarta will be reapplied on June 6, 2022.

He said that road users were urged to adjust the traffic arrangements that are set, such as obeying traffic signs, officers' instructions in the field, and prioritizing road safety.

DTKJ Makes Five Recommendations on Expansion of Odd-Even Points

Here is the detail of the steps carried out for the odd-even traffic policy in Jakarta during PPKM Level 1:

1. Odd-even socialization will be held from 26 May 2022 to 5 June 2022

2. Traffic restriction with an odd-even system on 25 roads starting on June 6, 2022, every Monday to Friday, between 6 AM to 10 AM and 4 PM to 9 PM, except on national holidays

3. 25 roads affected by the odd-even system in Jakarta:

- Jalan Pintu Besar Selatan

- Jalan Gajah Mada

- Jalan Hayam Wuruk

- Jalan Majapahit

- Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat

- Jalan M.H. Thamrin

- Jalan Jenderal Sudirman

- Jalan Sisingamangaraja

- Jalan Panglima Polim

- Jalan Fatmawati (from intersection of Jalan Ketimun 1 to intersection of Jalan T.B. Simatupang)

- Jalan Suryopranoto

- Jalan Balikpapan

- Jalan Kyai Caringin

- Jalan Tomang Raya

- Jalan Jenderal S. Parman (from intersection of Jalan Tomang Raya to Jalan Gatot Subroto)

- Jalan Gatot Subroto

- Jalan M.T. Haryono

- Jalan H.R. Rasuna Said

- Jalan D.I. Panjaitan

- Jalan Jenderal A. Yani (from intersection of Jalan Bekasi Timur Raya to intersection of Jalan Perintis Kemerdekaan)

4. Exceptions for motorized vehicles entering odd-even areas include:

- Vehicles carrying people with disabilities

- Ambulance

- Firefighter

- Public transportation (yellow plate)

- Electric motor-driven

- Motorcycle

- Oil-fueled and gas-fueled goods transport vehicles

5. Leaders of Indonesia's High Institutions:

- President/Vice President

- Chairman of the MPR/DPR/DPD

- Head of MA/MK/KY/BPK

- Operational service vehicles with official plates, TNI, and POLRI

- Vehicle of leaders and officials of foreign countries and international institutions who are state guests

- Vehicles with supervision from the Indonesian National Police (Vehicles for transporting money and filling ATMs)

- Vehicles for health workers handling Covid-19

- Covid-19 patient mobilization vehicles and vaccines

- Oxygen cylinder carrier

- Logistics transport freight vehicle
